Get to Know Me

Hi, I'm Jo, and I'd love to help you with providing the best possible care for your pets.

I'm a qualified veterinary nurse and experienced animal handler with 20+ years experience caring for a variety of domestic pets, including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles and small animals such as mice, rats and chinchillas. 
I am able to administer any medications or special care your pet needs (including insulin & other subcutaneous injections).

Having worked ​in one of NZ's largest and leading dog daycares for 6 years and privately as a dog walker and obedience trainer since 2011, I have experience with all sizes and most breeds of dog, and am confident with energetic dogs or those with extra health or behavioural needs.

At home, I share life with an English Bull Terrier named Leroy, and cat Gruffalo. When i'm not looking after your pets or mine, I like to get outdoors for bush walks or gardening, learning to roller skate (without crashing into anything), reformer pilates, social soccer, spending time with loved ones or doing anything DIY or crafty!

Dash Dogs is named for my last dog, a Rottweiler named Dash who will always be remembered as a 10/10 best boy! Naming Dash Dogs after him was a way to remind me of him every day.
